I play by myself or with my dad/brother/uncles 100% of the time. Never heard once anyone ever even suggest we bust music out on the course. Absolutely insane to me.
ETA: I’ve also never even seen it on any course I’ve been to.

If you’re playing it and I can’t hear it in the next fairway no harm no foul.
If I can I’m going to ask the marshal to have you turn it down.
At that point you get 3 options. Like it, lump it, leave.
You want it loud? Put in some earbuds and play it on them.
