Why do we waste so much attention & money on Israel & Palestine? Why don’t we just STFU?

Let them battle it out. Is it an image thing? The same goes for Ukraine. Who appointed us the world police?
There’s literal billions of dollars we send to these shitholes, and for what? That money could be spent on America & its people. Or at the very least, lower our tax burden. It’s asinine the money, time, & resources we waste on these cesspools.

I suspect the main reason is because the legacy deep state makes their money through the military industrial complex.

Why do NONE of y'all know how small the amount of money we spend on foreign aid is compared to the total budget?
Why do ANY of y'all think it's any significant amount?
We send foreign aid to 157 countries worldwide. If you add all of it up, including Israel and Ukraine, it's typically around 1% of the total budget.
In other words, if we stopped ALLLLLLLLLLLL foreign aid so that you could keep more of your money, you'd be able to keep a fricking whopping 1% more of your taxes.
Why do ya'll let Huckster Carlson and others manipulate you into such a constant frenzy over something like this that is so obviously a complete non-issue?
Why do NONE of you look into it yourself instead of just letting them wind you up and watch you go nuts over it?

Israel is not “ a shithole “. Historically, it’s the Holy Land for those who built Western Civilization, and currently it’s one of the most modern countries in the world. Just saying. Although I appreciate your generosity fatigue.

The issue is that money should be staying home. It’s tough to swallow that Trump’s wall was too expensive at $5 billion when we sling 10s of billions at Zelensky and Israel. Or when I am driving on roads in Michigan that are either fricked up or under construction all the time, I’m sure a few hundred million in federal funds here and elsewhere would be gold.

Because it most often serves our strategic interests to do so. It saves us from having to send our own troops to stabilize a situation that we would rather see stabilized, which not only saves our soldiers' lives, but also a significant amount of money.

Like it or not but worrying about The Holy Land is in our blood/genes as our culture. Our Western European roots/ancestry cared about so so do we still. Caring about it was a concern for many early Americans too.
The Holy Land is nothing like any other, so throwing it in with Ukraine or any other part of the world is not correct.
Now, can we do things better to make sure Christians are treated properly, and not being wasteful?? Yes! But making sure The Holy Land is stable and protected is just what we do naturally, and will, at least should, continue.

War is hell. That is why you have freedom now while living in the United States What if we never went to war with other countries wanting death and harm to the United States? Honestly your comment smells like the exhaled bong hit of some naive 20 something who doesn't know how the world works, how money or taxes work how international diplomacy works. Isolation is not possible in 2024. The money we spend there is a pittance compared to what we are spending to service our debt, that we mostly owe to ourselves.

Y'all don't want to send troops anywhere for anything and you don't want to strategically support other countries to take care of situations that we can't afford to let get out of hand.
You can't just roll up the fricking sidewalk and act like the rest of the world doesn't exist. It doesn't work that way. This isn't the 1300s anymore. We depend on too much trade going back and forth between us and the rest of the world for that.
