Which is very strange, because it’s not like these terrorists had some advanced weaponry, and were able to attack in a way that goes undetected.

I’ve been thinking the same thing. How in the world did they not have spies over there. Then I think back to 9/11 and Pearl Harbor. If I was giving pilot lessons and some Arabs didn’t want to learn how to land a plan I’d have to think anyone with a brain would find that suspicious. Very unfortunate. Wish the world would all say let’s hit the reset button and get along. Can’t see that happening anytime soon.
I don’t understand why they weren’t armed to the teeth at the border. Every one of their neighbors would like to eradicate them. If a bunch of terrorist rolled up in my neighborhood I’d put my money on my neighbors. I’d venture to say 75% of my neighbors have gun safes with 10 or more firearms in them.
