Remember too what the purpose of the DTs in BB’s defense is. I think we are losing sight of that - and it’s not to generate pressure.

First and foremost it’s be stout against the run. Use the big bodies to keep guys off the second level so that Perk, Whit, Penn, etc can free flow and use their athleticism to make plays.

If our DTs do nothing but that this year, we will be light years better than last year. If they can generate pressure as well, that’s lagniappe, to quote Shea.

People’s will have the EDGE guys doing their thing with pressure. Swinson especially is primed for a breakout.

TLDR - don’t get caught up in hype or stats and use your brains to think if each guy fits the role we need them to do. In this case, I believe the answer is yes.
