Anyone doing an eclipse cruise in 2026?

After having our minds blown in Dallas last month, someone mentioned that there had been some cruises in Mexico that were tactically placed to see the eclipse (it's a good idea to be on a moving vessel to find the hole in the clouds!)

Princess announced - but kept the details close - that they were doing one off of Spain. They finally spilled at least some of the beans. IMO, 14 days is too long, although the itinerary is decent.

Cunard has announced several, including some shorter ones.

Might be cool!

I’m perfectly content with seeing a picture of an eclipse and the northern lights. I’d be down for that cruise for the fun alone.

I know at least one airline out of Dallas flew along the path of the eclipse so you got an extended view above the clouds.

One would guess the coast of Spain in August won't be overly cloudy - and that's the point of the boat, it can maneuver around clouds in theory.

I was going to be on an Antarctic trip that included a solar eclipse on the ship - 2021 I think. Covid wiped that out. It would have been pretty stunning, the weather was perfect for it. But I did have a great trip to Antarctica a year later. I may go to Australia in 2028 and see the eclipse there. Traveling Australia in a camper van for a few months has been on my list for a while, so 2028 seems like as good a time as any. I saw 2017 and 2024 and would love one more chance.

Have you ever seen one? It's not hype.
