Johnson needs to get rid of Yeskie. There's no denying that the pitching has regressed.

The pitching was going to regress no matter what after Skenes left

We will have to go through one more year of Johnson before he gets canned, unfortunately. Woodward needs to go find us baseball’s version of Mike Norvell.

We have had a new pitching coaching all 3 years Johnson has been here. At some point you have to get some stability there for kids to actually develop.

You can’t put a different voice into a kids ear every fricking off-season and expect him to be better. There has to be some consistency in the message.

I’m not super impressed with Yeskie either but firing him would be a mistake.

I’ve seen a lot of stupid shite on this forum over the years. This post may take the cake in recent memory. That says a lot of the absolute fricking lunacy of your thoughts this afternoon.

You do realize…. The last two years our pitching coach went on to Coach big time Power 5 HEAD coaching positions. That is a significant pay raise? Not necessarily something we can do about it.

Well I mean they are playing better teams now. But also I don’t think we are worse than last year. We just don’t have skenes.

from earlier in the season?

Jump looks better than he did at the start of SEC

and Holeman
And Herring
and Little

unless you consider extreme. recency bias.

Yes I’m here all year long not just for opening day and the postseason run.

And while what you said is true that doesn’t change the fact that all of these pitchers have had a different pitching coach every year of their college career.

It is hard, if not downright impossible, to be the best version of yourself under those circumstances.

There us a lot of "overcoaching" on this staff. Kids come in and have shown they're pretty capable, but JJ and staff want to make changes with pitchers' grips, motions, arm slot, etc. and batters' stances, bat weight, etc., and fielders' way of playing defense.
