You do realize that LSU played those championship games in New Orleans? Do you know what the city of New Orleans and state of Louisiana would be like if the Saints played in and won a Super Bowl in the Superdome? LSU's crowds and the amount of people in the city for those national championship games would look small in comparison, that I know for sure.

Saints, easy.

Of course, I chose to go somewhere else for college. Same for a lot of Louisiana folks.

All the rebuilding from Katrina and goodwill the Saints had at the time that kinda got eroded since then. It was just massive to see them win.

NFC Championship Game for the 2009 Season.
in the Super Dome.

Saints first ever trip to NFC Championship.
a trip to first ever Super Bowl on the Line

Attendance = 71,261

LSU vs Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl at end of 2006 Season (not even the National Title Game)

Attendance = 77,781
