I would have agreed with this before the Saints actually won it. I will never forget driving home after the Super Bowl and seeing hundreds of cars in Academy's parking lot at 11pm on a Sunday just to get a Super Bowl Champions shirt, seeing people roll down their windows at red lights just to yell "WHO DAT!" at strangers, and seeing people literally crying with joy after watching them win. It was wild and I will never forget it. For reference, this was in Lafayette, not New Orleans.

that's just more of those lifelong fans that all miraculously turned ticket buying age in 2006.

those "fans" came out of the woodworks like roaches after they won.

those people were nowhere to be found even 10 years prior.
hell they even needed to get a 24 hour extension in 2000 to see enough tickets for a freaking playoff game to not be blacked out locally.

in 2005, LSU would put 92,000 plus in Tiger Stadium on a Saturday Night, then the next day, The Saints maybe get 15,000 in the same building.
