I just got back from Gulf Shores and tried the Foosackly’s in Foley. They sell chicken fingers, fries, and toast. They even have a “Foo” sauce that should be damn near copyright of Cane’s sauce.

Which one came first?

In the grand scheme of things Zaxbys > Canes and it’s not really close.

Uh not quite...

Zaxby's tastes like frozen chicken that was battered in salt.

At least Graves's little nuggets taste fresh

Considering Cane's is just a ripoff of Bailey's, I'll allow someone else to rip off Cane's.

As far as I’m aware there’s no beef between them.

Baileys was great, they were just on the wrong side of the street. Location location location.

I was at LSU when Canes and Baileys first opened. I had pretty regular interactions with Todd Graves and the dude who started Baileys. They used to run coupons in our newspaper.

I seem to remember actually preferring Baileys too but I don't remember why. Hell, that's almost 30 years ago now. I don't think about chicken that much .

Wasn't Graves friends with the founder of Bailey's?

I thought they were supposed to open a place together and Graves cut him out.

Nope. It was stolen from Guthries.

Baileys was better. Their location was the issue. It was easier to get in and out of Canes across the street so they made it and Baileys didn’t. The true embodiment of location, location, location.

This is the correct answer. And Zaxby's copied it first.

It all could have going differently too. Graves was enrolled to attend Georgia Tech, and he went on a trip to Athens with a friend before classes started.

After a weekend in Athens, he decided screw Tech, I'm going to UGA. Smart man.

The rest is history.

Canes tastes like cafeteria food. It would probably be considered r inhumane to give it away to refugees illegally crossing the border.
