LSU will win a national championship in the Brian Kelly era.
Friedman: FICTION
History is against me on this answer but Brian Kelly will prove me right if he doesn’t change his stance on NIL and recruiting in the transfer portal. Each of the previous three coaches at LSU (Ed Orgeron, Les Miles and Nick Saban) have won national championships and Kelly could add his name to that list but his program will need to get more aggressive when recruiting transfer prospects. Of course, the foundation of any highly successful college football program will be recruiting and developing high school prospects but they’ll need to supplement with high-end transfers to plug any holes on their rosters. If Kelly’s stance doesn’t change, the Tigers will find it much harder to win a national championship with him leading their program.
Powell: FACT
Kelly is a headliner within the coaching ranks and while some view his personality as a bit quirky and depending on who you ask a little weird, at the end of the day, he's putting together one of the best rosters in college football and continues to recruit at an elite level. There's a good chance LSU finishes 2025 with the No.1 overall class in the country and let's be honest, it is a program rich with history. Championships have become the golden standard in Baton Rouge. Kelly has been to the big game before, and it's the reason he came to LSU. He's young enough, that time is on his side. If we're setting the over/under at .5 for Brian Kelly championships at LSU, I'll take that over all day long.

He might win a couple. I know it's going to be a fun ride for sure...

Other than the blown out of proportion famuhlee thing, how exactly is he quirky? Les Miles is quirky, Coach O is quirky. Kelly strikes me as pretty straight laced.

If quirky means you run a tight ship and don't put up with bullshite, then sign me up...

Reads like a bulletin straight out of the “No shite” clinic

Per Dellenger, Chadwell claimed that LSU paid Daniels $300,000 to come to Baton Rouge while also paying for both a car and an apartment.
“Those guys would be all-conference for us,” Chadwell said, per the report. “LSU paid for a car and an apartment and like $300,000. What do you do?”
$300K for a Liberty WR isn’t aggressive enough?

Unfortunately for BK it’s harder now than ever to win a natty with the way college football is setup. Playoff and NIL is going to make it very tough.

Just had a transfer Heisman winner yet we aren’t getting transfers? People , mostly our fans stressed because we didn’t get two high profile DL transfers, need to stop listening to Kelly sound bites and listen to what Kelly actually said and the logic behind it.
National championships are hard. He strings together enough 10 win type seasons he will have that special chemistry and win one. Especially with how we are recruiting and the expansion of the playoffs.

Actually I think the first guy is wrong, if Brian go out and get guys who is just looking for the highest bidder, I think it will break the locker room. If I’ve been a 2 year starter and u bring in a transfer that hasn’t proven anything making more and not working as hard as I am than some some players will quit on the team. ESP if it’s a player who just quit on his former team looking for a his best bidder. That’s not the kinda guy I wanna play with

First, LSU has to have the NIL money to get the transfers. The admin has done a very poor job of using pro-LSU resources to make this happen. Kelly’s portal success is directly related to how much NIL money the admin can raise and right now LSU isn’t in great hands.
