They have been highly affective and will be used until they are not just like every other evolution in military history, so thats a rather useless point to try and make. When the Russians started adding coke cages to all their tanks they were first laughed at, then copied by not only the Ukrainians but Israelis. Just a lot of stupid propaganda from the west, just like pretending they were fighting an army of shovels. In the end you just look silly when you talk out of your arse.
