The beginning of the end has begun.
Despite all of the bluster and misguided cheerleading from the West, there is little that can be done to protect the Ukrainians from Russia. NATO deployment to Ukraine? The height of misguided and dangerous folly.
Everyone that encouraged Kiev to take on the Russians and expected a different outcome needs to be chased from the Public Square.

That's interesting because China uses debt to control "allies". They go into countries, sell them railroads, highways, power plants, loan them the money with some really nasty covenants, then the country doesn't maintain the asset well and/or (usually both) the asset is poor quality and the asset cannot finance the debt. Now China has them on the hook and can ask "favors".
