Biden used to be a decently moderate politician years ago and would’ve actually be seen as hard right by today’s liberals. Now the poor guy is closing in on vegetable status while his handlers juice him up for public appearances. It’s terribly sad, actually. Of course I couldn’t disagree more with almost all of his policies and decisions as president but I am smart enough to know they’re not really HIS decisions and policies. I really don’t see us ever fighting any kind of war where we need much in the way of artillery shells.
Sure the shitty Ukraine and Russians need them in this war, but we have so much better stuff. Having air and naval assets takes away the need for shells.

During COVID you couldn't walk into a building on the military installation here in West La. without wearing a mask. Today, they don't even have enough money to put any soap whatsoever into the latrines and shower facilities on post.
During COVID, they had mask requirements and hand sanitizers everywhere. Now there isn't any money to even provide soap for a Soldier to wash his hands after he takes a dump.

If you wanted to put a dagger into the MIC - federalize defense industry on the production end, bring in AI and robotics and we'll have replenishment within one year of a factory being built.

I had a conversation with a civilian consultant to the military who told me, the US has almost no live artillery shells to use in training because they have all been sent to Ukraine. He said the proficiency of our artillery units has already been degraded.
