It isn’t false there is some leeway to it. Like striding but if any ball comes at an angle to the 1st baseman and you are inside the foul line you will be called out. if you make contact with him.

I’m sorry but it is. If the rule is to prevent people from running inside the line it would be called hundreds of times every week.
