This giant red circle is everywhere in the out radius of jones. The runner is not anywhere in the way of Milazzo throwing to this circle. He threw it right kf this red circle and the runner still wasn’t in the way.

You can’t possibly look at the picture in your post and think it resembles the Maryland play in any way.

I’m clearly talking over some of yalls heads. Either I’m not explaining things well or people on here have trouble juggling multivariate, nuanced arguments. Probably a bit of both.
We are unlikely to find another scenario with exactly the same factors and there are multiple facets to consider with this rule. It’s easier to find precedence for each specific factor.

Some people were arguing that the throw had to be accurate or on the line to be considered interference. The Maryland example shows that is clearly not the case. That’s all I was trying to say.
I think myself and others provided examples to make a case for why the circumstance of last night should have been called interference. You guys have every right to disagree. The reality is it doesn’t matter. Let’s move on and have a great day!

1st baseman and the runner make contact and the person has run inside the foul line
The first baseman was drawn inside because of one of the worst throws i've ever seen...If Millazo makes a half decent throw the runner would be out by at least 2 steps and we would be celebrating a victory PERIOD. I don't fault Jones at all...was the runner inside..maybe a little. I cant argue the call I would have let it go too...Also if Herring hadnt lost all directions to where home plate and the strike zone were it would have never come down to this

It’s a lot more egregious than the ones we’ve seen both for and against LSU. Specifically the one against UF early in Game 3.

But it was still a very makable play and I’m much more disappointed in Milazzo than the umps.

Win today and tomorrow and none of this matters at all

I know we're not in the best position again but as long as these guys keep fighting there's a chance
