The President demands “It will be So!”
The Congress mumbles “it won’t be funded”
But I like your idea. The sooner that you accept that the Party you consider yours doesn’t consider you a part of their party, the better off you’ll be. I’ve watched this for 40 years, and finally accept it. Wasn’t easy, it’s like the line from the Bob Seeger song “wish I didn’t know now, what I didn’t know then”. But I do, and react accordingly.

I hate to admit it but that is exactly the situation with my housekeeper. She came here and found someone to help her pop out two children, and then he split shortly afterward. t set her up with an immigration attorney for citizenship, but her main concern is maintaining her work visa. I wonder if she has been pursuing the steps to become a citizen.
Her children are great. They speak fluent english, are educated, religious, and are respectful. I told her that they are American citizens who will live here the rest of their life and you owe it to them to get citizenship. I found out that she freaked out when she picked up a US citizen friend at the airport, and immigration was standing outside and she was trying to hide. I told her that you should not be living in fear of authorities, and to address that by doing all the proper steps of becoming a citizen. Show them that you are a fine addition to the country and should not be deported.
She just renewed her visa. Next week I am going to sit her down and give her the third degree on getting citizenship and stop being satisfied with work visas. The immigration lawyer told her that she better marry an American before it expires in 2029. I assume that it is hard as hell to get citizenship if you came here illegally? The lawyer must have told her that if Trump wins her gravy train ends.

That works when the Republican Party is unwilling to do anything to fight. When a Republican tries this, the Democrats fight it to the death, with quiet (and sometimes loud) assistance from the Republican Party.
Repeal of ObamaCare didn’t fail because the Democrat Party was against it.

Not sure why this comment is directed at me.
As for caving on deportation - I certainly am not. I was just pointing out some similarities with what he posted. Now, deportation will not be sufficient. You must incentivize self-deportation.
If you cut benefits and tell people that if they are caught they get deported and get no money, then they will self-deport, if you tell them they get a free ride to the border and some cash as they go back across.
You can charter every bus in this nation and tell people - if you're going to Mexico, get on the bus going to the border. If you're going south of Mexico, you go to Galveston or Los Angeles, then on a cruise ship (charter those too), send them to El Salvador or Argentina (would be a great stimulus to their economy) and pay them to put the people on a bus to their final destination.
Of course, you can also just put them all into Mexico and tell Mexico 'good luck sorting that out since you've been screwing us all these years'.
With my plan, we build factories and plants all along the border and tell people, if you self-deport you get priority for hiring.

I'm an Independent. I have no party. I also know how to bypass Congress on this. I know where the money is - and also, there are a lot of emergency powers out there to divert funds from various sources. Good place to start would be all the staff, Capitol Police, and the cars that congresspeople get to ride around in at our expense. These assholes violate our Constitution, wreck the nation, then send us a bill so they can be chauffeured around. These people are dickbags.

You forgot the main one which is block all wire transfers out of the country. Lots of illegals are here just to send money back to people in their home countries.

Respectfully, I don't disagree with any of your assessments, P, or even the intent of your policy. I simply believe that given the Dems/MSM encouragement and Constitutional legalize/process which will be employed to undermine deportation, and this coupled with the massive MSM narrative to paint immigrant families as good but very poor and God-fearing people who want only to escape the nightmare of their former country. Based on this, the immigrants will not self-deport. They will in fact gather in large 'protest' groups and given the numbers, virtually shut down Walmarts. Would you then send in LE or Military to enforce deportation? Body bags? Evening News mothers holding dead children? Hell, Trump wouldn't even move on BLM when they were blatantly burning and looting cities and wrecking National property, in 'protest', because he knew the Left would only ramp up violence.
The Left could care less about the blood letting re promoting their "fundamental change"; in fact, they use it to paint their enemies a essentially merciless, ruthless and evil. Think Hamas v Israel now.
We've crossed the Rubicon and are not going back, IMO, as pessimistic as that may be or seem. Only forward from here, in whatever form that may take.
Side point: Check out Royce White, who is running for Senator in some State. Minnesota maybe. He's the real deal. Trump needs to bring him on board asap.
