I hate to admit it but that is exactly the situation with my housekeeper. She came here and found someone to help her pop out two children, and then he split shortly afterward. t set her up with an immigration attorney for citizenship, but her main concern is maintaining her work visa. I wonder if she has been pursuing the steps to become a citizen.

Her children are great. They speak fluent english, are educated, religious, and are respectful. I told her that they are American citizens who will live here the rest of their life and you owe it to them to get citizenship. I found out that she freaked out when she picked up a US citizen friend at the airport, and immigration was standing outside and she was trying to hide. I told her that you should not be living in fear of authorities, and to address that by doing all the proper steps of becoming a citizen. Show them that you are a fine addition to the country and should not be deported.

She just renewed her visa. Next week I am going to sit her down and give her the third degree on getting citizenship and stop being satisfied with work visas. The immigration lawyer told her that she better marry an American before it expires in 2029. I assume that it is hard as hell to get citizenship if you came here illegally? The lawyer must have told her that if Trump wins her gravy train ends.
