Dave Smith makes a lot of sense for the Libertarians out there. I get the reservations people have about Russell Brand, but here’s a guy that’s actually doing things to push the party and agenda forward

Trump is not close to a Libertarian. But, at least he's going there. It'll have no effect on him, but at least he's going.

Yeah, that’s what’s so big about having him go there. It starts to move the needle in that direction

They never learn. The maganecks will never buy into ancap philosophy. Rothbard and Lew Rockwell tried it with the newsletters, and it didn't work.

Its amazing to hear them praise both Trump and Milei in the same breath.

No it doesn't. It will move people away from the Libertarian party. The Libertarian party is open border, all drugs legal, is right at anarchy.

quote:

Our goal is nothing more nor less than a world set free in our lifetime, and it is to this end that we take these stands:

- We, on the contrary, deny the right of any government to do these things, and hold that where governments exist, they must not violate the rights of any individual: namely (1) the right to life — accordingly we support the prohibition of the initiation of physical force against others;

Here we have saying the Gov (which is state, local, or federal) should have no means to enforce laws. The issue here is that those elements that seek to destroy will be allowed to run ramped through out the whole of the USA.

quote:

3.4 Free Trade and Migration

We support the removal of governmental impediments to free trade. Political freedom and escape from tyranny demand that individuals not be unreasonably constrained by government in the crossing of political boundaries. Economic freedom demands the unrestricted movement of human as well as financial capital across national borders.

Open Borders.

Those 2 things alone are not sustainable. It might sound great on paper, but it doesn't work in life. The USA would cease to exist.

One of these days people will learn that trump is not a Republican, democrat or a libertarian- he’s Trump and there will never be another one like him in politics

The OP linked Dave Smith who is arguably the most visible libertarian these days who also happens to be very opposed to open borders.

I have always considered myself to be of libertarian bend but I always strayed at the issues of open borders and abortion. To which Both of I am opposed. I’m glad to see they are coming around to my way of thinking.

If anything, Milei is the anti-Trump.

Hes destroying federal power and returning it to people.

Is that the point?

Or is the point to get third party voters to vote for Trump over Biden?
