What are the best biopic movies out there? I watched Long Strange Trip in one sitting and looking for other documentaries of similar taste.

All I Can Say is good about Shannon Hoon of Blind Melon.

Biopics or Docs? The Doors is a biopic. The Last Waltz is a documentary.

24 Hour Party People is a very interesting biopic about the 1980s Manchester music scene

The Dirt on Netflix is a fun watch about Motley Cru and according to the band one of the most accurate depictions of overall experience.

Also, not a rap fan but I enjoyed Straight outta Compton.

As a massive Queen fan I might be a little biased, but Bohemian Rhapsody was a fun and entertaining film. Is it historically accurate? Hell no. I was counting the inaccuracies of the movie while I was sitting in the theater. Is it a great tribute to Freddie Mercury, Queen, and their music? Hell yes it is.

Rock Star. Yeah, I know it’s fiction, sorta, but it’s loosely based on a true story and Steel Dragon is awesome.

Love and Mercy is an excellent biopic about Brian Wilson and his issues w/mental illness.

It does disappoint if you want to see more of the other Beach Boys and all their craziness though.

I still find Coal Miner's Daughter to be one of the best biopics ever done. The quality of the acting performances as well as Sissy Spacek and Beverly D'Angelo singing in character and doing a great job of it makes it stand out. Tommy Lee Jones doing his thing before we knew it was his thing. Great movie I have seen many, many times. Didn't even like or appreciate Loretta Lynn before watching it. Makes a lot of music biopics look like afterschool specials IMO.

I loved Oliver stone's the doors.

Kilmer killed it as Morrison.
