The Florida call was bad. It’s not interference and it’s not why we lost. Just give it the frick up.

Yeh. Thanks for posting to agree

quote:

In running the last half of the distance from home plate to first base while the ball is being fielded to first base, the batter-runner runs outside the 3-foot restraining line or inside the foul line and, in so doing, interferes with the fielder taking the throw at first base

Milazzo is damn near at the pitching mound. The runner would need to be inside the grass to be interfering with Milazzo

Look you didn’t know the rule and were emotional. It happens. Just let this thread sink to the bottom

You just like being a contrarian, and yet again, you're wrong. Just take the l. Posters have already proven you wrong

So you are saying with 100% confidence that Milazzos throwing lane was not affected at all by the runner being left of the chalk?
yes

He had tons of room. He missed the bag to the fricking right for Christ sake

Some people really need to learn the rules

This is the actual rule
quote:

NCAA Rule 7, Section 11 (p) : In running the last half of the distance from home plate to first base while the ball is being fielded to first base, the batter-runner runs outside the 3-foot restraining line or inside the foul line and, in so doing, interferes with the fielder taking the throw at first base, except that the batter may go outside these lines to avoid a fielder attempting to field a batted ball

He didn’t interfere with the throw to first regardless of being outside the running lane. That’s why it wasn’t interference

Being outside the running lane doesn’t automatically make it interference. You have to be outside the lane AND interfere with the throw. The latter didn’t happen tonight

Thanks for making it clear that you are an idiot. Even the announcers said during the game that “by the book” its interference. You can not agree with the rule all you want but that’s what it is. It’s like some of you guys are honestly either retarded or only turn on games when we are losing so finally have a reason to complain

When you strawman, you admit the L. Get over it, cupcake.

Read my post history if you think I don’t want this team to win.

lol I already won the argument so I’m just heaping on insults for the fun of it. I’m sitting here calm as shite just laughing at the idiots on here like yourself. Celebrating with a fishing trip in the morning while you try to figure out how to go around life with a sub 70 iq.

I'm not here to argue interference or not. I just think there's one thing we can all agree on - lsupride is a dumbass.

hope your trip goes well. Fishing sounds nice, unlike this baseball team.

Really got me with the Jan comment lol.

In all seriousness, I got a bit carried away and directed my overall frustration at this fanbase towards you. I’ll admit that.
It’s just tough to watch people not be able to contend with multiple variables at once. We sucked it up at the end and didnt deserve to win. That was clear. What was also clear, with absolute certainty, is that last play was interference if we are going by the book. I know interference ends up being more subjective than most calls but, if we are being technical, that was interference.

This is a lame excuse and will never and should never be called when your catcher fields a ball near the mound

For it to be runner’s interference, the runner has to be out of the lane AND, most importantly, INTERFERE WITH THE PLAY

I understand the frustration. I antagonized you and that’s my bad.

Bummer of a night all the way around.

Catch a lot tomorrow.
