I'm jealous. Can't see squat in Delisle. Even scoped out a flat area with minimal light pollution and nothing.

Can see the moon and stars but no bright colors.

You can sight some Auroras with purple hair in Baton Rouge if you go look on Plank Road after dark too if anybody misses out.

frick you can’t be more than a couple hours from me and I hardly see anything. I want to see that tonight

You need to use a camera to really see it clearly.

It's fizzled out here in WI for now. They were saying 11PM would be the most visible.

yeah just saw that hint with the long exposure. Definitely works but still hardly anything visible with the naked eye for me and seems people within 100 miles of me are seeing some spectacular views. ill chill outside til I get a glimpse of something like those on the last page

Not sure what the iPhone is doing, but it’s on the low light capture mode It defaults to. Didn’t filter it or anything.

First picture was taken at 9:09. The streak picture was taken around 9:30. It lasted until around 10:15 or so.

My house faces due north and has a small pond it faces, so I see all the storms rolling in and had a great vantage point for the lights.

Another interesting one I took:

Yeah, that’s not normal.
That picture was 3s exposure on an iPhone. It was extremely faint to the naked eye.

Glad I’m visiting my sister in a more rural area. If I was in Chicago I wouldn’t have been able to see shite.

Really quite stunning.
