Welcome to the system. They’ll make him jump through a bunch of hoops. At each hoop, you’ll find yourself cutting a check to some obscure LLC with a North Baton Rouge operating address.

Dont sweat it! Getting an MIP is a part of the LSU experience. Got my first one as a freshmen at AM Mart. Good times!

Oh yeah. I forgot that pot is/was legal in college /s. Get a grip it's the same thing if not worse with pot. Imagine if the cop caught you with an ounce.

My Freshman son and 3 friends got pulled over after buying beer at a gas station near LSU. Police asked for their “fakes” and gave them all MIP. We called and was told he has to go to court because he used a fake ID to purchase alcohol. I’m expecting a fine but will they take his license on first offense? Any chance to get it taken care of without going to court?

He'll get youthful offender.

Don't know how shits handled now because my kids are absolutely surprisingly well behaved but 27 years ago I got in a 80+ mph chase in about a third of old Shenandoah and it was never on my record.

I got manhandled at the end but I would take that trade off to this day.
