We lost because a defensive specialist allowed 4 runs on wild pitches and a throwing error.

I’m down for the Milazzo hate but it was 3 runs.

The 8th inning was just a terrible pitch.

This is the actual rule
quote:

NCAA Rule 7, Section 11 (p) : In running the last half of the distance from home plate to first base while the ball is being fielded to first base, the batter-runner runs outside the 3-foot restraining line or inside the foul line and, in so doing, interferes with the fielder taking the throw at first base, except that the batter may go outside these lines to avoid a fielder attempting to field a batted ball

He didn’t interfere with the throw to first regardless of being outside the running lane. That’s why it wasn’t interference

Being outside the running lane doesn’t automatically make it interference

Milazzo has a highway if he went straight at the bag or left of the bag. He threw it 3 feet right

I had to leave in the 3rd inning. Do I even want to know what all went down?

Because for some reason he threw it on the run. He's not the athlete for that.

I’d rather lose 20-0 than like this.

We’re LSU baseball and you’re telling me we can’t get a catcher who can throw down 90 feet in the most crucial spot of the year?

Or be counted on to barrel one up every now and then.

I think most people were upset and in shock....you have 2 quick strikeouts.....no one on...then all hell breaks loose. The thing is though that a lot of people are blaming the umps...that should have been an easy bang bang play, and he had time he just rushed it...if anything miss it on the other side of the bag where jones can stretch more. That was on the catcher.

Fred, it was sloppy, bad baseball & Herring was very off, a bad combo

I turned off the rant as soon as the game was over, I have a feeling the melt was pretty epic

ETA
I just had to check, im not sure I even updated the score & that the game was over
Think Rummy must have

I think I closed the game window before the shitty throw bounced the second time. What a way to lose.

Of course I'll still watch today. Can't help it
