And who did you vote for?

My son votes for the first time this November, and the topic came up at the dinner table last night.

We hear, “This is the most important election of our lifetime,” every 4 years, and it usually seems like hyperbole. But it feels like an accurate statement in 2024.

McCain and Obama..

McCain

Because at 20 years old in Northeast Louisiana any and all Republicans =“good”

How naive I was

Geez at the downvotes. I’m not saying I wish I had voted for Obama I’m saying I didn’t realize at the time McCain was a uniparty stooge. Unless the DVs are because McCain was that in which I case their warranted and I deserve that for the sins of 20 year old Zap

Bush over Clinton.

I found Perot tempting for a while, but he sort of started going off the rails as election day approached. Or maybe it was just my youthful naivete that allowed the media to convince me that was what I was seeing.

Damn, a lot of old frickers on this board. No wonder y'all are so entrenched with the 24/7 gloom and doom.

I barely missed 04 by a couple of weeks bc of my birthday, so 08 was my first presidential election. Had to hold my nose and vote McCain.
