Between one and ten, what is your honest level of excitement for the upcoming season?
I have to admit that I just cannot get back into Saints football after Drew's departure. It was easy to become spoiled.....

7.7
Expectations really aren't that high so its easier to enjoy the success. I calmly have a little bit of excitement with a 2nd year Carr returning and new offensive system with better team chemistry moving forward.

8 for me - the biggest difference for me is that I made peace with the fact that I got to see a SB in my lifetime, and it was won by my fav team. I go into every season with 0 expectations, and I am happy when we win, disappointed when we lose - but no matter what I am always optimistic for the season.
if we go winless, oh well, if we win another - that is great and I will be happy - but I don't let the teams success, or lack thereof affect my day to day - it is, after all, entertainment

5. No really exciting roster additions imo. OL looking suspect even with the first round selection. Dennis Allen is still our coach.

Honest? It's about a 2. It's not just the state of the franchise though. My excitement level for football and any sports just isn't what it once was.

I'm actually excited for preseason. Want to see the Rattler reps.

I’m at about a 7.5.
But only because this has to be Allen’s last season. We are nearing the end of this charade and moving closer to rebuilding the staff and roster.

it's a 10 as of now as the division is wide open. At this point I just want a fricking playoff game in the Dome.

6: I love football and miss it when it’s out of season. This team looks pretty mediocre on paper, but they’re in a situation where they don’t have to be THAT good to have success. Division is winnable, all of the teams in it are mediocre, and someone HAS to win it. At the same time, both lines look like they could struggle, Carr has played like a mediocre quarterback, and his weapons are largely underwhelming. There’s no exciting IMPACT player left on this team besides Taysom (whom the current coaching staff has no idea how to use) and maybe Kamara (who is past his prime).
Low expectations, low stakes, unexciting team. I just want to see the o-line figure out how not to suck and see if Carr can succeed when he’s not running for his life.

The only thing that I guess we can use to hype us up is the fact that the SB is in New Orleans this coming post-season.

Which is the magic number bc i think after week 5 we’ll know where this season is heading
Of course in typical saints/nfc south fashion we’ll probably be 2-3 with everyone else

They've got to do something new to bring some excitement to the team. Pretty boring arse off-season after a below average season. Nothing to look forward to this coming season.
