Not me.

I was so happy to retire.

The corporate world with its DEI crap has made things unbearable.

Cartoon avatar training modules are ridiculous.

Salesforce is a sham.

I’ll take that as sarcasm.

Some people miss the being a part of something. The only people I know that miss work after retirement didn't have any hobbies or anything to do when they did retire.

So you are going to retire and jump onto her insurance? Will you be up keeping the home and preparing dinner etc while she’s still working and paying for your insurance bc you don’t want to work anymore?
Are you saying that keeping house, cooking, shopping, laundry, etc. is not work? I know lots of women who do this while their men work. Why can't a man? Don't you believe in equality? Or maybe only when it applies to women.

But yes, I'm 7 years older than my wife and it was always the plan - I'm retiring now at 62, ride on her insurance while she's a travel nurse and we live in various places around the country. And she should still be able to retire by 60.

Besides, I'll do alot more than just keep house. I'll continue to maintain the vehicles (and toys), cut the grass, maintain the pool, plan vacations, maintain the rental property, groom the pets, etc., etc. So get out of here with your sexist crap.

Part of my return to work was my wife being 8 years younger than me. I'd prefer going places and doing fun things with her. Therefore, back to work a little longer.

Why are you moving on from the first job?

Basically, high year tenure. I could potentially get a waiver, but then it means I'd be working for 50% pay, since they'll pay me 50% to not show up.

Just been a super cool job, with good folks and cool toys. I go to work with a smile 99% of the time.

I’m keeping a small side job that I like so about a day a week I’ll deal with that.

I was going to suggest a side hustle, even if it's a breakeven adventure. You never know where interactions with others beyond coworkers and family may lead you.

I have been retired for 5 years. I do not miss work at all! I have not been bored a single day since I retired. I wish that I had retired sooner!
