From what I've read in recent months, Israel has the military capability to wipe out Gaza, should they desire, without the assistance of the US. However, the US has the technical "smart" munitions that would allow Israel to do so with minimal civilian casualties.

The irony is that Biden withholding them from Israel during the last push to end Hamas, under the guise of wanting to save civilian lives, will likely end up causing more deaths.
