Dad turns in his 16 year old for defacing WWI monument. Good for the dad, in a tough spot. Hopefully the kid, and his peers, learn a valuable lesson

quote:

A teenage anti-Israel agitator who police say defaced a World War I memorial in New York City earlier this week has been arrested and charged after his father turned him in to police Thursday night, the NYPD says.

Probably should’ve went to a higher ranked Elementary school to teach him values

Clear, demonstrable solid parenting for 16+ years by this dad.

That was sarcasm for those that can't tell.

My dad wouldn’t have turned me in, he would have definitely handled this one himself.

Probably why I never defaced a statue.

There had to be signs before this but I'll applaud anyone who takes a stand and say's "enough is enough" for just about anything.

Without an irregular verb behind it, went or gone both work there

Same, if I’d been dumb enough to do it once I’d have needed to get out of the hospital before doing anything else.

When i was about 8 years old my friend and I stole a few bucks worth of fireworks from a corner store near us. I told my brother and when he got mad at me for something random he told my dad.

Dad piled me into the car and drove me downtown to the police station where one of the officers put the fear of God in me. I didn't know that he knew the officer and called ahead to request the "lesson" but it certainly stuck with me.

I tried to find the COPS video where the cops are going to turn this black teen over to this mother. He begged to be taken to jail. The cops were highly amused.

It is up there with the video where some skell gets caught on a tall fence and is stuck. John Walsh walks over to interview him, and basically asks "when did you decide to be a scumbag?"
