Correct. Marriage should be a religious ceremony. If people want the government involved, they can create a partnership and sign contracts.

Then gay marriage would still exist because plenty of churches would perform the ceremony. Which, for the record is laughable, because the Bible is clear on the subject. But that's the reality.
