Bobby Marks ESPN
Thought this segment from Bobby Marks was pretty interesting. He's not really saying anything you don't know, but it's interesting to hear someone who's been a GM give some info on how this works. Quality is pretty crap but a good listen for Pels fans.

One big thing I got from this is that I think BI has more trade value than what we think. Marks said that the trend now is that centers don't typcially get huge contracts, but big wings are the ones getting the huge contracts. BI is still considered young, can score 20+ ppg, and can handle the ball and be a playmaker. Marks said that normally those types of players get max contracts. To me, that means BI has some trade value.

I think as fans we're looking at BI as a guy that other teams won't be interested in because he's not working out well as the #2 behind Zion. But it seems like other teams will see a big scoring, play making wing who isn't terrible at defense and rebounding.

I'm not saying we're going to get a huge haul, but this idea that we trade BI for peanuts isn't accurate. If we want to include some picks, I think we can get alot of value from trading him, Much easier said than done though.

Hope he and you are right.

We need to actually win a trade and get players that can help us now

He's an expiring contract. His value will be directly tied to his willingness to extend his contract with his next team. That alone will affect the type of assets teams are willing to give up to get him.
