They don’t kill completely healthy viable babies at 8.5 months for any reason. If the mother’s and/or baby’s health is at risk, they will induce birth. The pregnancy ends with birth. It is a termination of pregnancy. The baby is born, not terminated.

What the hell are you talking about?
This thread is about full term abortions, not induced birth. No one is talking about health/medically motivated cases here, which comprise an irrelevantly small number of abortions in any event. Terminating a pregnancy for health of the mother or fetus is not an “abortion” medically or in the lexicon of the relevant political debate.
The enormously overwhelming number of actual abortions are done for pure convenience.
