In a meaningless tournament. We are talking about where they finished in the SEC.
I’m not sure what is so complicated to understand LSU finished in the bottom half of the SEC this season.

She needs to continue to step up but no serious person thought we could fire her after winning 40 games.

Except you said “bottom half” and “less than middle of the pack”. Yes, they were middle of the pack behind 5 teams in the top 11, tied with a top 15 team and a Top 20 team, and ahead of 3 other teams ranked in the Top 25 of at least one poll or ranking. They are also 6-1 against ranked opponents outside of the regular season conference schedule, including 3 wins over the Top 5 (4 overall including the conference schedule) and 4 over the top 12. Overall, they are 11-9 against the top 12 and 17-11 against teams ranked in at least one poll.
