I've seen him 9 times in concert, my first one was during his "Storm Front" tour back in 1990. Great times.

I posted a thread weeks ago (Music board) stating that he released a brand new song in 30 years. "Turn the Lights Back On" is a great song and reflects the style of vintage Joel, The Stranger era type of material. The music video is incredible, one of the first to use artificial intelligence. Check it out:

he was supposedly a punk delinquent in HS,

According to his biography, actually the opposite. He was a short, unpopular kid who used to get his arse kicked often in HS. Then he got into boxing classes and became an amateur boxer for a couple of years, until another boxer broke his nose.

considering how wimpy his music is,

When he passes, I am sure that he will be considered one the best song writers in the history of popular music, and one of the best this country has produced. You should listen to his obscure songs, they're better than his commercial hits.

Yeah I'm a fan.

The new song isnt bad.. it’s definitely growing on me.. the story of the kid who talked him into getting back into the studio to make new music after 30 yrs is pretty epic .

To me, "It's Still Rock and Roll to me" is pretty bad. At least WDSTF has pretty decent guitar riffs.
