Hard to pick 1. But my top ones are Blue fin, Pompano, Dover Sole, and Red fish.

So many good choices. The single best bite of fish I ever had was scamp.

I’ve heard Mako is very very good

For me, if I had to pick one fish for last meal, it would be freshwater Jack fried just right. Think it's called different things around the country.

Sea Bass is a generic term used for many different white fleshed fish, some of which are actually a true bass, while others are not.

So, which sea bass. It’s just a name restaurants used. Personally, I stay away from it if on the menu. I want to know what I am eating.

Best fish I ever ate was sanddabs. Pacific fish, only had them once but it was glorious.

Crappie was going to be my post, too. Hard to believe we got as far as you with no one bringing them up.

I also love the sweet meat of bluegill or bream. If you can catch enough big ones to fillet them, those small fillets dredged in cornmeal and fried are heaven.
