Definitely blood simple. Also, inside llewyn davis.

Most underrated is Miller’s crossing or Barton fink.

Requesting an anchor for such a ridiculous thread. My downvote is a real downvote, not a participation in your Luddite poll.

This is such a bullshite, bitch arse move. Do not mistake all these downvotes as votes for The Big Lebowki. They are mainly downvotes of this terrible fricking thread. Well, the topic is valid, but the way you set it up is just so fricking weak.

I don't think there is an overrated Coen Brothers movie. All the ones I don't like aren't very highly rated to begin with. Relatively, of course. They don't made bad movies. They just make some that are not as good as others. Sometimes significantly. And they make movies that aren't people's certain cup of tea. But none of them are anywhere near "bad."

Intolerable Cruelty is towards the bottom of their list. You can see how forgettable it is/was by the fact that it hasn't been mentioned in 3 pages.

I bought it on DVD back in the day because it was a cute movie.

Never rewatched it. Its an enjoyable movie....it's why I bought it. But I wish I had kept the receipt. If it came on TV, I wouldn't have watched it.

Very few Coen movies you park your butt on the couch like a Goodfellas/Shawshank and blow off the day, come to think of it. Fargo/Raising Arizona might be the closest.

Tie between Lebowski, Raising Arizona, and Fargo. Lebowski and Arizona aren't bad, just not the unbelievably awesome experiences a lot of people make them out to be. Fargo is visual Benadryl.

Miller's Crossing is brilliant.

Both movies were entertaining. The hate doesn’t make sense to me.

Watched it because so many on this board said it was great. I guess maybe you have to be into Folk music. I thought it sucked.

A movie about just the cat would have been better.

Lebowski has some good lines but overall I don't care for it much.

If they crazy artist lady scene were scratched, and the retarded dream sequence was scratched, it might have been a really good movie.

My wife would agree with this opinion. Take that for what it’s worth and in the spirit intended.

In a weird way I actually think No Country for Old Men qualifies as "overrated" for them because a lot of people think it came from their brilliant minds but they actually just filmed the Cormac McCarthy novel almost scene for scene and word for word. And I think Tommie Lee Jones was involved before they were.

It's still a great movie but it could have still been a great movie if they never picked up the book.

Big Lebowski sucks. I don’t see why people love that movie.
