My expectation for an inshore gulf coast spec and redfish guide from Tampa to Texas to have 8-10 spinning rods around $150 -200 each. Something like a penn battle 3 or shimano or diawa comparable.
I bring my own gear because half the guides just want to bring you somewhere and have you jerk a shrimp under a cork next to some rocks.
I’d much rather fish with my baitcasters and artificial.

It depends on the guide. Some cater to the live bait popping cork crowd and that’s what you’ll get. If you go with an artificial only, release type of guide, they will likely be taking some good sticks for the most part and it’s expected they’ll bring their own gear
