Did he? He only knows one way to act; maybe the timing was right for that in 2016 and he was in the right place at the right time. I know I'm not the only Trump voter who hoped/thought that once he won he'd shift gears a little bit. He shows no signs of being able to modulate or alter his approach, which would at least occasionally occur if he was using political instincts.
