Yeah. They need it. They are running out. They can’t farm all available farm land because they don’t have enough water.

What does that have to do with the state of Kansas's crime reporting? Typical MAGA person, when the facts disagree with you, you just move the goalposts and meltdown all over the internet

Please tell me you are not really going to argue this. Let me ask you a question; what is by far the largest population center in the State of NY? If NYC faied to report ANY crime stats since 2021 would the stats for NY State be skewed down? Think it through logically…..if you can!

Kansas has a shitfrickton more farmland and produces more grain than any state except North Dakota. I mean, what do you think feeds more people? Grains or almonds?

Kansas is in the top 10 for beef production. California isn't . Do you think more people eat beef, or California raisins?

Just throwing the first stat you googled doesn't prove shite.

California produce more than avocados and nuts though, Susan.

California has about 8 million acres of farmland, and produced about $1.3B in hay & haylage. Kansas meanwhile has about 28 million acres of farmland (more than North Dakota, so I expect an apology) and only produced about $700 million in hay & hayage.

In other words, California is just better and more efficient at farming. Kansas is making junk corn to make ethanol and feed livestock. It is no where near "feeding the world"

Eben if you had posted accurate numbers, it's high crime rate cities that take up a larger percentage state's overall population.

You know, like LA and MS.

So yeah, democrats doing democrat shite. What was your original point? Some bullshite about MAGA people doing all the crimes in Kansas? LOL, another cheap trick throwing punk.

Again, I would argue those California farmers are majority conservative in conservative areas. San Francisco and Los Angeles aren’t the locations of most farmers and farmland.

So you're saying statistics are only accurate when you cherrypick numbers and exclude things that might affect the output you want. Gotcha!

You mean conservative California farmers are more productive. The majority conservative farmers in California not concerned with identity politics?

Overall food output is California, but when you break it down to cattle, wheat, and rice Kansas out performs Cali by double.

Why are you limiting it to those commodities? For rice, California accounts for 32.7% of U.S. output. Kansas didn't chart.

Would love to see a poll of US farmers and how many are conservative? This could include a breakdown of California farmers. We tend to think of states like California as monoliths. Large areas of California in the Central Valley and Northern California are conservative. Most of their farmers don’t care about anything but farming and issues related to that. They are much too busy. I grew up in an agriculture family. Liberal Democrats aren’t feeding this country.

California has some awesome people who live there. Theyre just overshadowed by the twits living on the narrow coastal strip.

Do you have a point here? California farms are more productive due to the efforts the state has made to regulate and modernize farming, and the overall positive climate for business and farming in the state. There are multiple farms in CA run exclusively by LGBTQ farmers (yes, that lettuce your eating might have been touched by a trans person!)

If Kansas, ND, Iowa, etc elected competent leaders they might actually be able to do something productive with their millions of acres of farmland, but as it stands their policies have basically destroyed any hope that independent farmers can survive. Its been great for Monsanto though!

What point are you all trying to prove? Nobody says California AG isn't impressive. However, they definitely don't "feed the world" when you look at the weighting of the types of crops grown.

2022 dollars - looks like mostly fruits and nuts to me? These things drive dollars and don't grow well in Kansas.

nuts - 8.1b
fruits - 3.1b
vegetables - 3.4b
rice - 561m
beef and veal - 494m
cotton -467m

All other 3.6b

Because most people live off meat and grains, no?

USDA Stats from 2022 and Kansas Ranks 7th

Rice is correct for cali and you're right about Kansas with no rank for rice.

Cattle Kansas is #2 producer in the country

I am not arguing California's output to the country, but to suggest Kansas doesn't help feed America is ludicrous.
