Totally unrelated to OP but there was a thread yesterday about people being upside down on their car notes and someone just made up a story about being in a honda dealership and “the guy sitting next to him” was trying to get into the most expensive honda available and to roll in his negative equity on his trade, which would put his note at 1200/m for 84 months.


I’ve bought a lot of cars and spent lots of time in dealerships and I have never once encountered an instance where I’m in earshot of a another buyer and the finance manager going over the finer deal terms and numbers. That shite is in an office or otherwise separated from other customers for a reason.


It was just a made up story for the OT. Fascinating.
