At best for the judge, the lawyer probably should have laid the foundation by asking about interviews with X outlet then asking about the content of that interview.

But given the kind of shite allowed yesterday, being prevented from establishing potential perjury is a huge fricking problem.

I mean, the attorney should be able to impeach the witness' testimony with her own statements by following up with the question,

"So, was your statement then a lie or your statements here in court a lie? Hard to know when a liar is lying, except when their lips are moving."

"Objection!"

"Sustained!"

"I have no further questions for this lia..., er, witness, your honor."
