The one's living in the cities, yeah. I'd go home too. They've got first order problems in that their family and property are not safe. In those cases you're right, they'll go deal with their own problems first. But remember, cops are completely insular and protect their own. That will definitely come into play and that being the case, if you have the option of being on the Sheriff's team or just another plebe out here hoping to make it through this alive, I'd stick with the guys with the APC's and a trained police force.

If I'm the sheriff, that's one of the things I'd be thinking about right now. Maybe have a place where you can bring the families of deputies who don't think they're safe where they are.
