Looking at the xi5 and terrova. Both in 24volt, 80lb and 54-60" shaft with spotlock my primary focus. I have a garmin echomap 93sv and lvs32 up front and garmin striker 73sv at console. Motorguide sells a reconditioned xi5 for about $600 less than both units at new prices of around $2k.

Any advice on which is the better brand/buy is greatly appreciated. I mainly want to upgrade for the spotlock usage. Have an older model Tracker 175 Pro Team.

If you can find a new terrova Bluetooth with wireless remote for 2k that's a great deal. They usually around 2600 and that's without the foot pedal.

With humminbird graphs and a talon you can link them all up.

I have the Xi5 and have never had any issues with it. Spotlock is very accurate. My bro in law and another buddy of mine both have minn kotas and always seem to have issues with them.

This thread was done 3 below yours. Not that I care, but you could maybe get some information from that thread.

I own the Terrova 24v 80# and love it.

I have the 80# for 5 years now. Love it. No issues to date and use it 2-3x a month on average. Added the foot pedal which I mostly use for fresh water trips, stick with the remote when chasing trout.
