What’s next, vet bills? Car mechanics? Professionals are entitled to be paid for their services.
If my vet quotes too high a price, I put the animal down. What's next, me going to jail because I killed my animal because I could not afford the vet?
Have not ever had a problem with car mechanics due to car lease language.

Why wouldn't you reach out to rescue groups before doing such a thing? I have paid the vet bill and adopted several dogs from owners in such situations. You don't need pets.

Wasn’t aware that Kristi Noem posted on here. If you cannot afford a pet, don’t own one.
