This plus SeaFoam. Mine can sit for 6 months, stale gas, whatever. Cranks right up, just like the Stihl blower that also gets used sporadically. Adjustments are easy, good brake, good power for a homeowner saw.
Just like a Glock, I don't know if it's the "best" and it's probably not the only reliable brand, but it's a safe purchase that works.
ETA The 180 is also a good buy if he doesn't need the extra oomph.
