Why is it the Michael Jordan trophy?...that's the short bus name.

Kareem won it more,than Jordan.

Apparently people have forgotten.

Same for me, I was 9, 10 and 11 while he was at LSU. He’s the only reason I followed the NBA and was a Magic and Lakers fan while he was with both teams. As far as looking up to an athlete as a kid, he was the only for me. However, he comes off like a bitch made pussy in these situations, because this isn’t the first time he’s cried about crap like this. I know how some people on this board feel about Shannon Sharpe and his podcasts but the fact that Shaq felt the need to call him out because of his opinion just proves how petty Shaq can be. He’s a great person, great ambassador for LSU, damn sure a better human than most Ex-NBA players but when he acts like a child like he’s currently doing because of the MVP award he comes off like a Bitch.

Not really, but if you LSU people think so, I'm cool with it.

If anyone in this playoffs is gonna turn a 2-0 deficit into a 4-2 win, it'll be the Joker

Kareem, at this point, is underrated. He has a legitimate claim to tGOAT but many have Shaq above him.

Overall, he has the greatest NBA career when talking about championships, overall stats, and MVPs.

Crazy how it should have been 4 in a row.

I would actually argue the year he did not win it was his most deserving year to win it.

Overall he has the greatest career in the history of basketball. His Resume reads like the God of basketball.

He led his high school team to 71 consecutive wins and 2 mythical National Championships....as the 2X National Player of the Year.

During his college career, Alcindor was a three-time national player of the year (1967–1969), a three-time unanimous first-team All-American (1967–1969), played on three NCAA basketball champion teams (1967, 1968, and 1969), was honored as the Most Outstanding Player in the NCAA Tournament three times, and became the first-ever Naismith College Player of the Year.

He went 88-2 at UCLA.

15 time All-NBA

Over his 20-year NBA career, his teams succeeded in making the playoffs 18 times and got past the first round 14 times; his teams reached the NBA Finals on ten occasions.

5× NBA All-Defensive First Team (1974, 1975, 1979–1981)

6× NBA All-Defensive Second Team (1970, 1971, 1976–1978, 1984)

6× NBA champion (1971, 1980, 1982, 1985, 1987, 1988)

6× NBA Most Valuable Player (1971, 1972, 1974, 1976, 1977, 1980)

No. 33 retired by Milwaukee Bucks

No. 33 retired by Los Angeles Lakers

If there's any athlete that should be pissed at the public for not getting their due, its Kareem.

That gasp you just heard was the Great White Hope running out of gas and sucking air as Minnesota slowly squeezed the Joker and the Nuggets to death. The Wolves won 3 games on Denver's homecourt, including game 7. Enough said.

Bruh he had 34/19/7 and was fighting until the very end. KCP and Porter Jr. COMBINED for 12 points.

ETA:

I think something that rubs people the wrong way about Jokic is that he treats basketball like a job and he doesn't make it the center of his universe. With the amount of money he's going to make, I could see him just calling it quits when he still has some gas in the tank.

Personally, I love that about him.

Yep. Absolute truth. Arguably greatest player ever. Only MJ is in his stratosphere.

I know it hurts that a white player could be the best in the game right now.

You know, it is possible to root against a team but still appreciate all players.

The Joker looked like he was thinking about his horse farm in that 4th quarter. The Wolves defense shut down the big 2 and Gordon, Porter, and KCP couldn't answer in the second half.

Right now, he and his African American teammates look a lot like a one-hit wonder.

I'm not sure why Porter always escapes criticism. He's being paid as much money as Jamal Murray. He should be stepping up to ease the burden off Jokic and Murray but he never does outside of the Lakers series. And playing like he did against the Lakers should be the norm for a player making the amount of money that he does.
