Places around here are all over $100 for synthetic. I did it myself last time, but I didn't come out that far ahead because while capacity was stated as 6 quarts, it took damn near 7 to reach the level. Those 5 quart combo deals at Advance and such for ~$40 are nice, until you add 2 single quarts for another $13 each.

Buy two 4 or 5 quart jugs and don't get raped on the singles. You just have to do it every 2 or three oil changes.
Someone mentioned disposal, most drain pans have a spout and I just pour the used oil right back in the container it came from and sit it in the corner of the garage until I go the next time to buy oil and haul it into the place I buy it. All the auto parts places around here have used oil drop offs.
