I'd say that's upper middle class.
Bingo, also could be called a nice comfortable living

190k is in the 86th percentile for the entire US. There’s some frickery here in the definition of “comfortable.”
Roughly 20% of Americans right off the bat rely on welfare programs…

Wouldn’t use the average American to see what is living in “comfort”

Now imagine Louisiana without crooked politicians and the insurance situation as it is. Would be the lowest by far.

It’s obvious in this thread some have never lived uncomfortably.

You can live comfortably in Louisiana for much less than 190k.

Yeah... We are at 190k while the wife is in school.

There isn't much that I want that I can't have.

When she's done again... Jesus I may just retire.

Well that kinda warps a lot

Full time Childcare is easily 1k per month for two kids, and that’s a cheaper option.

I’d say median place would be 16k/year for two kids for a full time 8-5/5 day a week program

Hey, Pedro, looks like you live in KS. Are you from LA, KS, or elsewhere? I'm from LA but away for 30 yr out in UT-loved it but had to move back to LA for wife's health. She's doing better and we want to get outta LA after I retire this year but can't go back to mtns. KS a lot closer to kids/grandkids. What's it like there?

A couple can afford a home on 160k in VA outside DC. Easy.

Needing almost 200k for places like WV and IA. I’d say so.

I live in Nashville and could easily live comfortably with 60k a year.

But I also only spend money on sports cards and music gear. I don’t travel or buy dumb shite.
