Your money homie if that’s you, do it. It’s likely more ppl flying in the fancy class that can’t afford it and their vacations. They appear to lead these high dollar lives. Or they’re flying on business travel and it’s not their money.
There is no need to be ridiculous. Regardless if you are rich or poor it’s highly unlikely you would define an economy class airplane seat as comfortable. 99% of people wouldn’t regardless of money.

Something can be adequate without being comfortable

The whole experience is uncomfortable. If you get off to that slighty fancier safe space then cool. I’d rather take my wife’s van across country and be a redneck than fly these days.

Lol, comfortable must mean 2 kids going to private school and a nice vacation house on the lake.

What exactly does comfortably mean?

I have a feeling those numbers a highly inflated with a bunch of bullshite expenses.

That's what I'm thinking.

$195k in Alabama?

What would you call a 35 year old married couple in Alabama with two children where one spouse is a nurse and the other is an accountant?

Would you call them rich? Living like kings?

Or would you likely say something like “they have a nice life but certainly aren’t rich”?

The numbers in the OP all scream upper middle class, which “comfort” living seems to be a perfect tie in
