Honestly just sounds like a different show that's going to use the same interview style like The Office and Parks and Rec and they're just using The Office name and "universe" to help with hype.

I'll give it a chance.

I love the “set in the same universe”

unless Michael scott walks in that’s just our universe.

and idk why they feel the need to call it the Office.

A fake documentary work place comedy is fine. Parks and Rec did it and it was good.

Set in the Midwest but will be the most diverse office you’ve ever seen

So a hate fest of Midwestern people by journalists. Nice.

If this has anything to do with the original series, it will ruin it.

As others have pointed out its pretty clear what happened.

Daniels had an idea for a sitcom based in a midwestern newspaper, and the studios said "We will make it if you slap "The Office" on it"

It seems *too* close to what the Office did, following a dying industry as it tries to change and adapt.

Would be neat to see something on the other end of the spectrum with a new startup business, but I guess you can get your fix in with Silicon Valley there. Though SV doesn't have the mockumentary angle.
