Some Mid Major Guys to look at

Tanner Thach- UNCW-Soph.

.325/.413/.736 with 24 HR hit 15 last year. Weak competition though. not a lot of AB against quality teams. 6’4” 220 plays 1st base

He’s a JR but Jakob Christian at USD. 6’5” 225
.349/.436/.782 with 20 HR

Played 2 years at Jay’s Alma Mater before transferring. If he doesn’t go high maybe he would want to jump up to SEC play his last year.

JP Smith 6’1” 240 1B/DH Sacramento State
.264/.362/.606 19 HR
hit 14 as a freshmen with a .339 BA.

Zach Stewart - Missouri State - Soph
.305/.378/.665 20 HR. is a Lefty and plays RF.
Played 5 games vs SEC teams and went 6/21 not great but he can improve over the summer. he mostly crushed Missouri 5/9 in 2 games.

Brooks Bray Troy - Soph - C
.310/.405/.663 with 17 HR
played 3 games vs SEC teams went 2/8 with 1 BB 1 HBP 1 SF. played 20 games at C, 20 in the OF, 7 at DH. is a lefty.

We looked at him last year when he transferred from Point Loma Nazarene.

He's draft eligible and will be taken and paid enough to go pro. His stats are good, his underlying metrics are similar to top of the draft guys.

Do you know whether any of these guys are planning to go into the portal and be available?

Another place to look would be the Ivy League because of their ban on extra COVID eligibility.
